Hi Monic, I think you're right, we're often afraid of what people say they want. To a certain extent, that's a mistake. But sadly, it's equally justified :-) No one knew they wanted an iPad, until Apple made one. The old but ever more pressing problem is, which half of the customer's conservatism is the relevant one we should listen to.

And I have to admit, I don't quite understand what you mean by spacy.

Right, it's not about which agency develop the next so called "integrated campaign", it's about solving business problems with a consumer-centric approach.

But understanding what consumers really want, takes time and effort and the companies as well as their agencies are often afraid of these deeper insights.

BTW I find "lead" an interesting word, when everybody is spacy ;)

i agree, digital advertising is dead, but advertising is dead, too

in future, only honest and channel neutral provider of creative solutions to communication and business problems will survive.

and i am not talking about integrated communication or the completely stupid approach of 360 communication. sometimes "15 degree communication" is enough for efficient brand communication.

sometimes i wonder about the approach of agencies and some clients. when consumers where not paying attention, advertising screamed louder, when consumers tried to escape agencies and brands tried to surround them. not good at all cheersij
